30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

DAY 17 OF 30

This scripture basically says that we become what we think. In other words, where the mind goes, the man follows. What we think about matters, and it’s important to realize that we can choose what we think about. We don’t have to just think about whatever falls into our mind. Instead, we can learn how to think the way God thinks and have His perspective by studying His Word.

Many times the problems we face have a lot to do with our thoughts and attitudes. For example, a negative, critical, suspicious or judgmental mindset can cause a person to mistreat others because they’re expecting them to be unfair, rude or disagreeable in some way.

The best thing we can do is study God’s Word to renew our minds so we think like He thinks. Romans 12!2 tells us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (NKJV).

By spending time studying the Word and renewing your mind with the Truth, you set your mind in the right direction so you can discover God’s “good and acceptable and perfect will” for you. As this new way of thinking gradually renews your mind, it dilutes the old thinking and changes your perspectives and attitudes. It literally transforms your life!

Walk It Out

Study scriptures that will help you renew your mind and reveal who God is, who you are as His creation and what you have as a believer in Christ. To get you started, study Philippians 4:13, 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Romans 8:35-37. Personalize the verses and embrace them as God’s promises to you. Remember: God’s Word is absolutely true and His promises are for you!

About this Plan

30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

Are you studying the Bible or just casually reading it? God doesn’t want us to just skim His Word—He wants us to meditate on it and to allow it to change us from the inside out. That’s why Joyce Meyer issued the challenge to study God’s Word for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. This 30-day reading plan consists of encouragement from Joyce that will help you develop the habit of daily scripture reading. We’re confident this study will help you engage with the Bible and discover the impact it can make on your life. Give God 30 days and see what happens!
