Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2Sample
Probably one of the hardest parts of walking with Christ is battling our flesh. We are spiritual beings but we have this flesh that we reside in while living on earth. And quite frankly, this flesh wants what it wants, when it wants it and more often than not, gets in the way of us living victoriously in Christ.
But, we can’t let that be an excuse and be satisfied with phrases such as “that’s just the way I am” or “I just can’t help myself.” Friend, yes you and I most certainly can help ourselves by the strength we obtain from God. And so can our children.
Let’s pray big, faith-filled, expectant prayers that our children will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature but instead, be led by the Holy and most powerful Spirit of God to walk not in perfection, but in victory. We will all fail in this at some point - but we must get back up, shake the dust off our feet and start again. With the Holy Spirit’s neverending presence in our lives, we can walk in the Spirit.
●I pray that ____________’s mind is not governed by the flesh because that leads to death, but ____________ is governed by the Spirit which is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
●For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit and my blessing on ____________. (Isaiah 44:3)
●So I say, ____________ will walk by the Spirit, and will not gratify the desires of his flesh. (Galatians 5:16)

About this Plan
Praying for our children is instinctual as parents. We are constantly praying for their health, well being and happiness. All of those are great, but let's go deeper in our prayers for them. As Jesus followers, the Word of God is our foundation for truth and because of that, it makes sense that we should use it as our guide. Join Cindy as she shares prayers with you that she has prayed over her three sons and walk in faith that you will see it all come to pass in your own children's lives.
