Passionate: Finding Purpose In Your PassionSample
“What is my purpose here on Earth?”
This is a question that has probably puzzled the world since Adam and Eve. Philosophers, poets, writers and innovators have all attempted to answer this, but the fact is that this question has a different answer for everyone. Earth may be a temporary stop along the journey to eternity, but I believe that God has put us on Earth for a reason. He has instilled a passion within each and every one of us, but it is up to us to find out what this passion is.
Because of these God-given passions, the world is full of very different people. Musicians and artists and doctors, businessmen and teachers and preachers, all very different, but all full of passion for what they do. To rekindle the fire that God instilled in you at birth is one of the greatest gifts that He has given us. There is nothing more exciting than to listen to someone talk about their passion, and there is nothing more fulfilling than to put your passion to use in your daily life.
But how do we do that? Too often do people allow their passion to take a backseat to other things in life.
“I would love to become a teacher but I would have to go back to school”
“I really want to take up writing but I don’t know if I could make a living”
“I want to give back to my community, but I don’t know how”
If you truly want something as much as you want to breathe, then I believe that you should strive towards it. God wants you to live a life of purpose, and of passion. Our time here on Earth is limited, therefore it is up to us to make the most of what we do with it. Without passion, life will lose its meaning. I like to use the phrase “your ‘it’” when discussing passion. Finding your “it” is crucial in living a life that is fulfilled. If you can grasp this, and you can delve within yourself to find what makes you happy, then I believe that you can tap into the potential that God has given you.
