 HOPE IN THE LORD 

Although difficulties are woven into the very fabric of life and many are designed by God to draw you close to Him, He also knows that unrelenting problems can cause you to give up in despair. That’s why He frequently sends relief. Sometimes you can get by without the whole problem being solved immediately. But you need a glimmer of hope to know that God is with you and will eventually work things out. So you pray, “Send me a sign of your favor” (Psalm 86:17 nlt). But how can you know that God even desires to do good for you? When an unknown psalmist was discouraged, he prayed, “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope” (Psalm 130:5 nkjv). God loves you and thinks of you, even when He seems distant. If you pray, He will not only send you a sign of His favor, but as dawn breaks after a long, dark night, He will send His cavalry charging in to rescue you.

God, I need help! Please show me You favor me! Show me that You plan to protect me, to bless me, and to give me relief from all my troubles.
