Courageous Humility Pt. 1Sample
This certainly causes one to ask, “How nourished am I? Am I feasting on the Word of God regularly? Daily? Am I allowing not only His Words through the Bible to speak to my heart, but also His Spirit through my thoughts to speak to my soul?” Like a physical diet, we may each represent a variety of ways in which we consume the Word. The Word may be a small portion of our day, like a multi-vitamin. We may prepare a spread of whole, nutritive dense courses at every meal, plus snacks! Or, we may still be struggling to ensure we are taking the time to prepare and sit down at the table to enjoy a vitamin and mineral packed meal, while really relishing and enjoying every morsel of nutrition our bodies can absorb.
Wherever we are, I believe God needs us to understand, we need to have the courage to continue to allow Him to nourish us with His Word(s). This begins individually, while creating a collective whole, known as His Bride. Sitting at the table with Him {see Psalm 23:5}, feasting on what He provides at various points throughout the day, will allow us to be more sensitive to His leading. Like Jesus states in John 4:34, our nourishment also comes “from doing the will of God… and from finishing His work.”
Prayer: Dear Lord, nourish our body and Your Bride! Create in us a hunger for You and Your Word that is seemingly never satisfied, causing us to courageously “raid the cupboards” of Your Word, looking for the right morsel to satisfy a godly craving. Lord, Your Word IS LIFE. I pray for those feeling on the edge of death, or living in the throes of illness, the enemy no longer keeps them from reaching out to You and Your Word for the healing You have for them. As You nourish our bodies individually, I pray our relationships are also nourished. As we saw last week, You desire a collective healing to take place within Your Bride. Allow the nourishment that comes from Your Word and doing Your will to overflow into our relationships, compelling others to desire the holistic pharmacy You provide. Thank You Jesus, amen.

About this Plan
Be strong. Be Alert. Be Courageous. These words are the premise of this 30 day study where you will uncover God's desire for you to call out to Him and trust He will hear. Not only hear, but set you on sure footing, a path He sets before you, for your sake and the sake of those around you. From there you will dig into Scripture around what it means to courageously step into God's presence, how to do so, and what you can expect as a result of going into His presence. Finally, you will be encouraged to step towards the healing Christ offers, both individually, and as the collective Bride of Christ. Each day you will be encouraged to ask questions, seek answers in God and His Word, and identify the step YOU sense the Holy Spirit compelling you to take. Courage accompanies ACTION, and Christ reveals to us where to move next, while the Holy Spirit empowers us to do so!
