Next Steps in Following Jesus: Knowing God's Will

We know from Scripture that God’s will for your life is that you would know Jesus Christ and be saved. But God’s will is not only that you know Jesus as your Savior, but that you surrender to His Lordship. When you surrender to God’s will, He will lead you and be your guide. 

It is unusual for God to reveal His whole plan for our lives in one moment. More usually He guides us day by day, step by step. Be faithful today doing what you are doing to the glory of God.

Colossians 3:23 says “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Our daily work is not something to be simply endured as we long for the weekend or retirement, complaining about the boss or the job. Followers of Jesus are to work enthusiastically to the glory of God. This is God’s will for you.

As you work faithfully day by day to the glory of God, I assure you that your great guide, God Himself, will lead you, will open doors for you and make His way clear.
