The Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century was a political, cultural, and religious turning point that changed the course of history and Christian theology! Martin Luther completed his most significant work in 1522, his translation of the New Testament from Greek to German. The Bible that was previously read and taught primarily in Latin was now in the hands of ordinary people, in ordinary speech.
