Dealin' with Feelin'Sample

Even though David was a powerful king, he got sad sometimes just like we do today. His own son, Absalom, tried to take the kingdom for himself and even threatened David’s life! This really hurt David's feelings. He was heartbroken about his relationship with his son. But, he turned to God with his sadness and received comfort from God just like we can do.

About this Plan

What do I do when I feel mad, sad, bad, or glad? God made us with emotions. The Bible shows us God has emotions, too. Emotions aren’t bad, but they can often lead us to make sinful, selfish choices. Since emotions are common ground we share with God, they're a way we can get closer to Him and learn more about Him. This family plan with supporting videos can help kids learn what the Bible has to say about dealing with our feelings.
