Ruth was Naomi’s daughter-in-law. They were best friends. When their husbands died, Ruth had to make a choice. Would she stay with Naomi and move to Bethlehem? There they would be very poor and have to work very hard. Or would she go back to her parent’s house, where it would be easier? Ruth knew her friend Naomi needed her. Ruth chose to be faithful. She didn’t turn her back on Naomi. She stayed with her.
