You need a firm foundation when you are building a house. The foundation is the part under the house that is made out of cement or rock. A builder would never build on a foundation made of dirt or sand. The house would crack apart, sink into the ground, and fall down. In the Bible story, Jesus compares a wise man who makes good choices to a foolish man who makes poor choices. Which man chose the firm foundation to build his house on?
