Christ is our Great High Priest now You and I are sinners with needs just as great as anybody of Old Testament times. We can’t bridge the chasm between us and God any more than they could. He still guarantees that all your prayers are received, heard, and answered at the very throne of God. And get this--he invites all believers to think of themselves as his assistant priests, bringing the mercy of God to fearful and troubled people in their lives.
