Truth or Trash? I have to be a good person to get to Heaven.
Trash! There may have been many ways to get to the place your guide was taking you, but if you went your own way without listening to your guide, you're lost. Some people think they can get to Heaven by being nice or doing kind things for people. That is not true. There is only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus! The Bible says that Jesus is THE way, the truth, and the life. No one can get to the Father without Jesus! There is one way to get to Heaven so listen to God's Holy Spirit, your guide.
Discuss It -
When did you make Jesus your Savior? If you haven't, would you like to make Jesus your Savior? If so, then pray this: Father God, I am sorry for my sins. I believe that Jesus took the punishment for my sin on the cross. I believe you love me. I believe Jesus died to forgive my sins. I receive that forgiveness. Jesus, I make you my Lord. I believe that you are alive and that you now live in me. I am saved. I am forgiven. Thank you that I am born again. Thank you that I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. Father, I welcome your Holy Spirit to fill me from head to toe with your power and your knowledge. I receive all the gifts your Spirit offers. I give you my life. Thank you for loving me and giving me new life. I trust that I am yours and am now sealed with your Spirit! In Jesus' name, amen.
You are now in Christ! You are His child. Don't doubt it. Are you unsure? Romans 10:13 (NIV) reads, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." That includes you. Do not look back. Walk forward with the Father from now on! Leave your old life of sin and rebellion because you have been made new, clean, and holy! Welcome to the family of God!
