Time Reset for Christian MomsSample

As a Christian mom, your time is constantly pulled in multiple directions, between diapers and deadlines, ministry and meal prep, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and underproductive. But what if the secret to better time management isn’t managing time… but managing you?
In this 3-day devotional, you'll learn how to take charge of your day by aligning your goals, boundaries, and rhythms with God’s purpose for your life. Each day offers practical steps, scriptural wisdom, and real-life encouragement to help you focus on what truly matters.
Whether you're running a home, a business, or both, this is your invitation to trade chaos for clarity and discover the joy of living purposefully as a mom who manages her time God's way.
Day 1: Set M-GOALS (Manageable, Measurable, Meaningful)
Theme: You can’t manage time, but you can manage YOU.
Key Scripture:
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
- Ephesians 5:15-16 (ESV)
Devotional Thought:
Let’s get real for a moment, Mama.
How many times have you fallen into bed at night, exhausted but unfulfilled? The day was busy, you did so much, but somehow, the most important things got pushed aside.
The truth is, we cannot manage time. Time continues to move forward, regardless of our actions. What we can manage is ourselves, our focus, our energy, and our choices. That’s what God asks us to steward wisely.
And that begins with clarity.
Without clear goals, you’ll find yourself swept up in the noise of everyday life, pulled in every direction except the one that leads to purpose.
That’s why today, we start with what we call M-GOALS - goals that are Manageable, Measurable, and Meaningful. These aren’t just productivity goals; they’re soul goals. Goals that reflect your God-given priorities in your faith, family, finances, friendships, and fitness.
But before you write anything down, ask yourself:
“What do I truly want? And why does it matter?”
Don’t settle for vague answers like “more time” or “more money.” Get specific. Is it more time with your kids? How many hours? Is it financial freedom? What does that look like? And most importantly - why?
Your “why” is what keeps you going when distractions arise and motivation wanes.
Reflection Questions:
- What are the top 5 goals God is placing on your heart in this season?
- Why are these goals important to you right now?
- How can you align these goals with God’s vision for your life?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the time You’ve given me today. Help me to walk wisely and intentionally. Reveal the goals You want me to pursue, and give me the strength to follow through. Help me not to be swayed by noise or pressure, but to live with a clear, Spirit-led focus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
