Day 2: God Will Provide

Above all else, seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness first.

If you’re anything like me, you know what it’s like to wrestle with worry about the future. Maybe it creeps in late at night when you’re trying to quiet your mind, and suddenly, questions begin to flood in: “Will I have enough?” "What if things don’t work out?” Or maybe “what ifs” fill your mind the moment you wake up— before your feet even touch the floor.

If that’s you, sweet friend, you are not alone. I think all of us, at one time or another, have battled anxious thoughts that cloud our minds, steal our joy, and burden our hearts.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Jesus, out of love and compassion for us, speaks directly into our fear. In Matthew 6, He gently reminds us that just as our Heavenly Father cares for the birds of the air and clothes the flowers of the field in beauty, He cares even more for us—His dearly loved children.

When life feels uncertain, and our hearts grow anxious, Jesus invites us to shift our gaze away from our circumstances and turn our eyes toward Him. He doesn’t shame us for our worries; He lovingly reminds us that when we seek Him first, we find peace, provision, and the steady assurance that we are seen and cared for.

So take heart, sweet friend; He is the only One who knows our future—and the only One we can trust with it. So rest today in His faithful provision. He sees you. He knows exactly what you need. And He will provide.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for caring about every detail of my life. When worries flood my mind, and fear tries to take over, help me lift my gaze to You. Help me trust that You know exactly what I need—and that You are already working on my behalf. Amen.
