You Are Equipped!

When you feel like giving up, stop for a moment and consider all the stories in the Bible about the Apostle Paul. Here's a guy who was imprisoned, stoned to death, shipwrecked, beaten and more – all because he was doing God’s will, preaching the Gospel! He had so many opportunities to give up and call it quits.

But in 1 Timothy 1:12 he says, “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me trustworthy, appointing me to His service.” God gave him strength, and he counted on it. You can too! According to Paul, God will strengthen you! What if we, like Paul, just believed that and started thanking God for it? Put your name in that verse.

Paul knew the challenges of life, yet he never gave up because he trusted in the strength God gave him. God called him and equipped him to fulfill that calling. Just like Paul, you have been called and equipped by God. Think about that for a moment. You don’t have to do any of it in your own strength – you’re equipped with God’s strength!

God hasn’t called you to something without also giving you what you need to complete it. There will be days when you feel inadequate, days when you wonder if you can keep going, but remember that your Heavenly Father has given you everything you need to endure and overcome (Revelation 12:11).

When you feel like giving up, remember that God has called you to something greater. He has a purpose for your life, and He won't leave you to figure it out alone. He'll strengthen you, equip you, and give you the endurance you need to keep going. Never give up, because with God’s strength, you can overcome every obstacle. Keep going, because He’s with you, and He will see you through to victory!
