Seeing the World With God’s Eyes

DAY 1 OF 4

Everyone Matters to God

Once she was buckled in, Zion asked, “Daddy, what do you do at your work?”

“Well, it’s a little different every day,” he answered. “But whatever I do, I do so that the people I work with know that they matter.”

Zion wondered what kinds of things her dad could do to make people feel like they mattered.

Did you know that everyone is precious and valuable to God? He loves everyone with a never-ending supply of love. Psalm 108:4 says that God’s love is so great it reaches to the skies, which means it is so much bigger and more amazing than we can even imagine. God’s love fills our hearts so full that they overflow, and it is our job to share that overflowing love with others—because God’s love is not just meant for us, it is meant to flow through us to other people! And making people feel like they matter, just like Zion and her dad do in the story, is part of sharing God’s endless love with others.

How does it make you feel to know that God loves you with this big, amazing love?

Do you feel like you have enough love inside your heart to give to others?

Prayer:

"Dear God, thank you for your never-ending supply of love! Help me to feel your love overflowing in my heart and share that love with others."

Activity:

Overflowing Hearts

Materials needed: Paper (any color), scissors, markers, or crayons

Draw and cut out a large heart. Fill that heart with words and pictures that represent God’s love to you. Here are some questions to get you started:

  • What does God’s love feel like? Maybe it’s a warm hug from someone you trust. A safe place to sleep. The joy of being seen and known.
  • What does God’s love look like? Maybe it’s someone standing up for what’s right. A meal shared with people you care about. Smiles that make you feel at home.
  • What does God’s love sound like? Laughter with friends. A favorite song. Someone saying, “I believe in you.”

About this Plan

Seeing the World With God’s Eyes
