Healing From GodSample

As Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem, He met ten men who had leprosy. This disease made them live apart from others and kept them from being part of the community. From a distance, they cried out, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” They believed Jesus could help them.
Jesus didn’t heal them right away. Instead, He told them to go and show themselves to the priests. According to God’s law, people only went to the priest after they were healed. But these ten men obeyed Jesus—and as they were on their way, they were healed! This shows us that healing and blessing can come when we trust and obey, even if we don’t see the answer right away.
One of the ten men, a Samaritan, came back to Jesus. He praised God loudly and thanked Jesus, falling at His feet. Jesus noticed that only one came back to give thanks. He told the man that his faith had made him well—not just in body, but in heart. The man didn’t just get healed—he was made whole.
This story reminds us that many people receive good things from God, but not everyone returns to thank Him. God loves when we come back with a thankful heart. Gratitude opens the door to a deeper friendship with Him.
It’s not just about what we receive—it’s about how we respond. God wants us to worship Him, not just for what He does, but for who He is.
Respond to God’s Word:
Have you taken time to thank God for the blessings in your life? Are there ways He’s helped you that you’ve never thanked Him for?
Next Step:
Today, write down five things God has done for you recently—maybe He answered a prayer, gave you peace, protected your family, or provided something you needed.
Then, take a few minutes to say “thank you” out loud. You can also write your thanks in a prayer journal. Like the one man who came back to Jesus, let your thankfulness turn into worship. Let Him know how grateful you are—not just silently, but with your words and your heart.
