DAY II | So Many Questions...

“So many questions. You are the answer. Here in the searching, I’ll praise you today.”

Have you ever considered this question: “What would I not be willing to give up to the Lord to be obedient to His call?”

It’s a pretty striking question and one I was faced with as I wrestled through some discouragement and discontentment. I go back and forth in my head and heart, “But I really want this God,” and “Why can’t this be what you want for me?”

Surrendering our disappointments and our “control” is as valuable in a life of worship as celebrating God’s blessings. In the midst of the questions and brokenness, we have a faithful truth that He is the answer.

It is often easier to sing, lift our hands and hearts, and offer our songs of worship and praise when things are seemingly easy. The opposite is also true; when we’re met with difficulty, stress, and anxiety, wholehearted worship can be a struggle.

God is in the details of everything. He wants all of us. Every part of our life can be a sacrifice of praise - even the hard. When we choose to surrender all that is good and all that is difficult, we come to a place where our heart chooses to say “hallelujah anyway.” This can only be accomplished when our entire life is lived for Him.
