DAY 24 – PSALMS 130-135
“He made a solemn promise to the Lord.
He vowed to the Mighty One of Israel,
“I will not go home; I will not let myself rest.
I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber
until I find a place to build a house for the Lord,
a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel.”
Psalm 132:2-5
Psalm 132 has been foundational for the culture and ministry flowing from UPPERROOM. God longs for a dwelling place among His people, and it‘s here that David vows to establish a resting place for His presence—demonstrating a deep commitment to honoring and hosting Him continually. Until Jesus returns, our desire is to minister to Him through prayer and worship, creating a place where He can dwell and rest.
Prayer: Jesus, I love being a place where You dwell. Make me more aware of the ways I can host Your presence. I dedicate my entire life to You and praise You as the eternal King, the fulfillment of the promises made to David. Amen.
About this Plan

The Psalms teach us to pray, worship, and be honest before God, expressing every joy, struggle, and question. They shape our faith, pointing to Jesus, who prayed and fulfilled them. Embracing them daily cultivates a life of worship, rooted in God’s Word. In this 27-day plan, we’ll journey through how to navigate both the trials and triumphs of life while awaiting our Lord’s return. Each day includes a short devotional, 2-3 key verses, a thought to ponder, and a closing prayer.
