Is This the End?Sample

Overcoming Pressure
Life is filled with pressure to conform, compromise, and blend in. The early churches in Revelation knew this well. Some stood firm, while others allowed the cultural pressures to erode their faith. The church in Ephesus had done many things right. They had worked hard, remained patient, and endured difficulties for the name of Christ. Yet, in all their efforts, they had lost their first love.
Faithfulness isn’t just about holding fast to the truth; it’s about staying in love with Jesus. The danger we face isn’t just external opposition—it’s growing cold inside. Revelation calls us back to passion. Jesus’ invitation to the church of Ephesus, and us, is simple: Repent and do the first works (Revelation 2:5). When we find ourselves drifting, the answer is always to return to Him.
Reflection: Have you ever felt like you were just going through the motions in your faith? What steps can you take to renew your passion for Jesus today?
