Promise 3: "I will strengthen you and help you." Isaiah 41:10

Today you will be called to do hard things.

Maybe the hard thing will be getting out of bed when you’d rather hide under the covers. It might be dealing with a difficult relationship, tackling a project that feels impossible, overcoming an addiction, trying again when you’ve failed before, choosing to stay when you just want to go.

I don’t know the details of your situation or circumstances, but I know the God who is in them with you. He is the one who spoke the world into being, who scattered the stars into place, who sculpted the first man from dust and breathed life into his lungs.

He is the God who came to a manger, who hung on a cross, who defeated death and rose again. He is not a stranger to challenges, not unfamiliar with suffering. He knows what it’s like to be human in a world where all is not as it should be.

He will give you the strength you need. He will give you the perseverance to take another step. He will give you the courage to face whatever is in front of you.

You will never face anything alone. You will never have to rely only on your own resources. You will never be too weak because you have limitless power living within you.

Nothing is too hard for your God, which means nothing he has called you to do today will be too hard for you.

God, I trust you to give me everything I need to do all you have called me to do today. Amen.
