Walking in the SpiritSample

Called to Be Blessed
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Genesis 1:28
I realize that when you are overwhelmed with all that is wrong in your life or with all that is not right with the world, it’s difficult to believe that you are blessed. Facing the unthinkable that drives you into a spiral of despair feels like anything but a blessing. But in the broken pieces of your life, I am there.
I bless you with every breath you take. Believe what I tell you through the promises of God’s Word—you are blessed. You may be the shoulder that someone cries on even when you struggle to keep your own tears from falling. You might be the one to lift the faith of another when your own faith is failing in the midst of sorrow and tragedy.
Blessings might be disguised, but you are blessed, and you are also the blessing. Not for a minute, not for a single moment, are you forsaken. I am with you; I am the Spirit within you, I move all of heaven and earth to fulfill God’s purposes in your life so that you will be blessed and be a blessing.
Called to Truth
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
Jeremiah 17:7
