Advance With the Power of FaithSample

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
We can acquire a lot of knowledge about any topic, such as nutrition, but we only grow when we put into practice what we have learned. In the same way, challenging situations can boost the development of our skills and, moreover, our faith.
There is a saying, "a calm sea never made a good sailor." This means that a good sailor is not one who knows how to navigate only when the winds are in his favor, but one who, despite fear, applies the skills learned and adds perseverance and courage to face the storms.
In life, we’re going to have difficulties, opposition, persecution, and tribulation. This is why Jesus said, "I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) Jesus made it clear that, in spite of the world's troubles, it is possible to find peace and courage in Him to face any situation. This revelation from Jesus doesn’t change the external circumstances instantly, but it strengthens our faith in who Jesus is and who we are in Him.
Even though evil tries to capture the attention of our natural eyes, God's goodness is infinitely greater. When David was being pursued, he declared, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life." David did not allow his inner self to be consumed by fear because of what his eyes saw as danger. He chose to declare the greatness of God in faith. Despite his fear, the more David proclaimed the qualities of God’s unchanging character, the stronger his faith and courage became.
Likewise, when we faced physical or emotional threats, our reaction might be fear. However, the way we respond to the situation that frightens us is what will drive us to either flee or confront it.
If we feed fear with thoughts of incapacity, impossibility, and abandonment, the enemies will seem greater than they are, and we will see ourselves as defeated. On the other hand, if we nourish our minds with the truth that empowers us with strengthen and grace, we will no longer view situations from the limited human perspective, but rather according to what God says in His Word.
Believe that God has called you to be strong and courageous in Him. The more you strengthen your faith with the truth, the more you will be sure that you are not alone. God helps you develop all the skills you need to stand with courage in the face of challenges and be victorious over all things.
DECLARATION OF FAITH: I believe in the truth of God’s Word, and I place my faith in it. God has given me a spirit of boldness to overcome fear and move forward. I am strong and courageous because I put my hope in God.
