SERVE AT SCHOOL. SERVE AT WORK.
Think about your typical day at school or work. You’re surrounded by people—classmates, teachers, coworkers, or even customers. Every interaction is an opportunity to serve, but how often do we see it that way?
In Colossians 3:23-24, Paul says:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
This scripture challenges us to view every moment, every task, and every relationship differently. Serving at school or work isn’t just about completing assignments or showing up on time. It’s about your heart and how you treat others.
What if serving meant:
Helping someone who’s struggling: Whether it’s a friend who doesn’t understand a lesson or a coworker feeling overwhelmed, taking time to help them can make a huge difference.
Showing kindness in the small things: A simple smile, holding the door, or offering to share your notes reflects God’s love.
Respecting authority: Even when it’s tough, listening to teachers, managers, or parents with a good attitude shows integrity and honors God.
Going the extra mile: Whether in group projects, chores, or part-time jobs, giving your best effort—not for recognition but as an act of worship—stands out.
Imagine if Jesus were sitting in your classroom or walking into your workplace. How would you act differently? The truth is, every act of service we do for others is a way of serving Him.
So this week, look for ways to serve. It doesn’t have to be something big—just be intentional. Whether you lend a hand, speak encouraging words, or simply do your best in every task, you’re making an impact. Serving isn’t just about what you do; it’s about showing the people around you who Jesus is through your actions.
