Please Open This Gift

Recently, a friend of mine had a birthday. I really put a lot of thought into what the best and most fitting gift for her could be. I came up with a wonderful idea... one that was a bit costly too… I just wanted to show her how valuable she is to me.

Since she doesn’t live nearby, I sent her the gift in the form of a voucher via email. And days before, I kept thinking, “I hope she sees it! I hope it doesn’t end up in spam. I hope she recognizes the gesture of love and the value behind it.”

And I’m so excited to send you a gift today as well in anticipation of Christmas! I asked God what He would like to say to you.

And behold… He placed His thoughts on my heart:

“The value of Christmas, the reason the day is even celebrated, cost Me everything…. I would have loved to keep My Son Jesus with Me. We had such a good time together in heaven. But when I saw that you were struggling, I let go of what was most valuable to Me.... Yes, I prepared the best and most fitting gift for you. Everything you could ever need is wrapped up in this. And I hope that you see it, appreciate it, and don't push it into spam... but personally accept it.” (see John 3:16)

No matter how you celebrate Christmas—whether in a large gathering or by yourself—you will only find true happiness when you open this gift, the one made just for you, recognize its value, and worship your Father in heaven with all your heart today!
