When it comes to living single and seeing this season as a gift, it is important to remind you of the benefits of being single. Often, we tend to believe that others have it better, causing us to overlook the privileges we enjoy in the present moment. My intention is not to keep you single but to help you cultivate contentment during this season of your life.

Let’s start with the greatest advantage, which scripture outlines in 1 Corinthians 7:32-35: you have more time to devote to God. The scripture tells us that a single person can focus on their relationship with the Lord without the distractions of caring for a spouse. During this season of singleness, you have the opportunity to be intentional in nurturing the relationship that will impact every other aspect of your life. This unique benefit of singleness is invaluable. As you draw closer to God, every area of your life will flourish, including your ability to discern when and whom to date.

Ultimately, our spiritual growth is the most vital undertaking at any stage, but especially in singleness. You should view this time as a chance to deepen your connection with God. I encourage you to recognize this tremendous advantage you have right now. While it may seem obvious, we often need reminders of the greatest relationship we will ever have. After all, when all hope seems lost, He’s right there. His love for us never wavers and never ceases. He thought you and I were to die for. That’s a relationship worth pursuing!

So, I urge you to strengthen your faith by praying, reading the Word, and diligently seeking Him during this season. Take your spiritual walk to a higher level in this phase of your life. Prayer: Lord, you are the greatest gift anyone could ask for. Thank you for saving me and changing my life completely. I fix my focus to you, the author and finisher of my faith.
