Anchored in Now Faith

DAY 5 OF 5

WHAT WE DO NOT SEE

The Oxford Dictionary defines sight as “ the faculty” or “power of seeing.” It also defines it as “catching a glimpse of.” Sometimes God allows situations to happen so that we can see what is on the inside of us. Sight is how we see things manifest, whether spiritually or naturally. What our Faith requires us to do is perceive with our eyes that which is set apart for us. It allows us to see the miracle that needs to be produced. To see from this lens requires discernment and understanding.

God’s Word cannot return to him void. It must accomplish what it is set out to do. Otherwise, God would be a liar and we know that God cannot and will not lie. In order for faith to work in our lives daily, we need to adhere to these four spiritual disciplines daily:

Creating an Atmosphere for Worship - There is a known fact that the enemy hates worship, being that he was the head of worship. By taking a posture of worship it creates an atmosphere for God to move. Worship God when life is good and when life is bad. Praise is the vehicle, but worship is always the destination. It is the designed purpose of where God wants us to live.

Pray - Prayer helps us confirm if the belief that is being held onto is God or ourselves. John 10:27 says “my sheep listen to my voice, I know them and they follow me.” Once you go before God in prayer, he is faithful to speak if you sit quietly enough to listen. Key words: “sit quiet enough to listen.” Prayer is the channel that unlocks the door to faith. You develop a spirit of discernment to know what is and what isn’t God.

Studying the Word of God - Studying the Word of God opens up our minds to deeper revelation and understanding of the things of God. We get to know God’s character. Over a decade ago God had me read the book of Proverbs. As I read over the scriptures I saw that the word wisdom was noted around 60 times, understanding 65 times, knowledge 45 times, and instruction 26 times. When you read the Word of God, look for wisdom, understanding and revelatory knowledge. With instruction, you walk with bold confidence that God is guiding you. You want God to reveal the hidden treasures in your life.

Create a Fasted Lifestyle - Over the years, what I have found, is that when you combine fasting, studying the word of God, and prayer, it opens the doors wide for clarity and discernment. When fasting, seek the answers to questions that plague your life. I receive distinct clarity when I do this. I encourage you to commit to a day of the week that you will fast, whether from food, social media, or tv. Whatever you decide, it must be sacrificial to your daily lifestyle. This lets God know you are serious about your relationship with him and hearing him clearly.

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see," creates an atmosphere for God to be God. It is the unbreakable faith that is anchored in our Father. As believers we are required to speak life, trust God and the process. You can receive the manifestation of what all God has in store when you exercise your NOW FAITH. I invite you to ANCHOR your NOW FAITH, so your character catches up to your anointing.

Prayer:

Father God, I know that you are equipping me to walk in boldness believing that your promises will be fulfilled in my life. May my hope, confidence and assurance in you be securely anchored. I stand in complete agreement that even when I cannot see, that my NOW FAITH will not fail.

Day 4

About this Plan

Anchored in Now Faith

Faith is the anchor that allows God to operate strategically in your life. This 5-day plan focuses on Hebrews 11:1 as a blueprint for building faith. IF you want God to move, you must have a faith that is anchored, unfiltered, and unrestricted when situations arise. There should be the firm foundation that even when you can’t trace God, you can see how he shows up powerful and strong.
