Living Out the New

We’ve talked about letting go of the old, renewing our minds, walking in purpose, and staying consistent. But how do you actually live as a new person in Christ every day? It’s all about making smart choices and staying connected to God and people who will help you grow.

Here are a few ways to keep living in the new:

1.Stick with Good Friends

You need people in your life who are also trying to follow Christ. These friends will encourage you when life is hard and remind you of God’s truth (Proverbs 27:17). Choose friends who make your faith stronger, not weaker.

2.Find a Church to Call Home

Church is where you can worship, learn, and connect with people who love Jesus. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us not to skip meeting together but to encourage each other. Church isn’t just about showing up on Sundays—it’s about being part of a family that supports you in your faith.

3.Get a Mentor

Find someone older who knows what it’s like to live for Christ. They can guide you, share advice, and keep you accountable. Don’t worry about being perfect—this is about learning and growing together.

4.Spend Time with God Every Day

Prayer and reading the Bible are how you stay close to God. These habits help you understand who He is and what He wants for your life. Make it part of your routine—this is where real transformation happens.

Living in the new isn’t about doing it all on your own. It’s about trusting God and staying connected to Him every single day.
