Amazed by Great Faith

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Luke 7:9 (NIV).

The centurion’s faith amazed Jesus because it was grounded in humility and trust. Great faith does not rely on proof or entitlement, but on a firm belief in Jesus’ authority and word. Today, we can choose to have faith that trusts him completely, knowing that he is faithful to fulfill his promises. How can you take Jesus at his word today, trusting him with great faith?

Prayer: Father God, Thank you for the example of great faith that pleases you. Help me to trust you fully and to believe in your power and promises. May my faith amaze you as I walk in obedience to your word. In Jesus name, Amen.
