Confidence Within Discipleship

The problem with hypocrisy is that you can easily be a hypocrite while judging others for their hypocrisy! It is important to observe the outcomes of hypocrisy, which is exposure and judgement. Jesus warns us that nothing will stay hidden and everything about us, good or bad, will be revealed.

Maybe we fall into hypocrisy because we think we need the approval from others for our perceived goodness. But Jesus re-assures us that it is God alone who needs to be feared. He is the ultimate judge who alone has the power to save or the power to condemn to hell. When you truly know and believe the incredible unconditional love God has for you, there will be no greater desire than to love Him and live for Him.

Managing the cares of life, especially as it relates to your financial well-being, becomes not only easier but less of a burden. When you truly believe the love and care God has for you, there is a peace and confidence that in spite of all the cares of this world that we could worry about, God has it covered!

It causes us to want to let go, help others and live with an eye on eternity and the Lord’s promise to return. Going through life this way is not a common or popular practice. It can cause others to question you or even look down on you as having your head too much in the clouds. But a true servant knows what the master wants and is grateful to carry out His instructions.

Have you fully embraced the reality of how much God loves you? Are you living in anticipation of eternity and in the meantime, letting Jesus live His life through you?
