Imagine a vigilant lifeguard standing at their post overlooking the beach, scanning the waters for any signs of trouble. Suddenly, the lifeguard spots a struggling swimmer and, without hesitation, swiftly and skillfully makes their way into the water. With expert precision and strength, the lifeguard reaches the struggling swimmer and executes a rescue, providing the support and assistance that the distressed swimmer desperately needs but cannot accomplish alone. Similarly, our redemption is not a result of our efforts or achievements but rather a gift of God's grace that we receive through our faith in life, death, and the resurrection of Jesus. It cannot be earned but is freely given to us.
