Day 19: The Power of God’s Grace

Paul’s life is one of the most powerful testimonies to the transforming and sustaining grace of God. Here was a man who once persecuted Christians with zeal, believing he was doing the will of God. But after encountering Jesus on the road to Damascus, his life was radically changed. He became one of the most influential leaders in the early church and a tireless preacher of the gospel to the Gentiles.

Paul never took credit for his accomplishments. He knew that everything he had done—the churches he planted, the letters he wrote, the lives he impacted—was not because of his own strength or intellect. It was because of the grace of God working through him. In 1 Corinthians 15:10, he writes, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect.”

We often think of grace as something that covers our weaknesses—and it does. But grace is also the source of our success, our influence, and our ability to fulfill God’s calling. Paul didn’t just rely on grace in moments of struggle; he recognized that every victory, every opportunity, and every gift was a result of God’s unmerited favor on his life.

What about you? Where has God’s grace been evident in your life? Perhaps it’s the skills and talents you use in your workplace, the relationships you’ve built, or the opportunities you’ve been given to serve others. All of it is a gift from God. When we recognize that our successes are rooted in His grace, it shifts our perspective. Instead of striving for recognition or relying on our own strength, we can walk in humility and gratitude, knowing that it’s His grace that empowers us.

Take time today to reflect on the areas of your life where God’s grace has been at work. Thank Him not just for the grace that carries you through struggles, but also for the grace that empowers you to thrive. Pray: “Lord, thank You for the grace You’ve given me—not just to endure but to succeed. Help me to steward the gifts, opportunities, and influence You’ve entrusted to me, always remembering that it’s Your grace that makes it possible.”

God’s grace isn’t just a safety net—it’s the foundation for everything we are and everything we do. As Paul demonstrated, it’s by His grace that we are who we are, and His grace is always at work, shaping us for His glory.
