BLESSED RESTSample

Day 4: Jesus Modeled Rest
Luke, a close companion of Paul, wrote this Gospel to give a detailed account of Jesus’ life. Throughout His ministry, Jesus was constantly surrounded by people in need, yet He regularly stepped away to pray and spend time with His Father. This verse reminds us that even the Son of God prioritized rest and solitude as part of His mission.
Even Jesus, with His mission to save the world, made time to rest and reconnect with God. He withdrew to quiet places to pray, leaving the crowds and responsibilities behind. If Jesus needed rest, how much more do we?
Sometimes, we tell ourselves we’re too busy to rest. But rest isn’t a break from our responsibilities; it’s a way to fulfill them better. When we pause to recharge spiritually, we can give our families, work, and ministry our best instead of what’s left over.
Schedule 10 minutes today to step away from distractions. Find a quiet place to pray and talk to God about what’s on your heart today.
