We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample
Day 189 of 365
James 2 reminds us that faith without action is dead, urging us to let our beliefs move us to serve. In 2 Kings 4-6, Elisha’s ministry is a testament to a faith that actively works to help others, from miraculously providing oil for a widow to healing Naaman of leprosy. Each miracle not only showcases God’s power but also meets a real need, reflecting the compassion and love of God through tangible actions.
The Holy Spirit calls us to live out our faith with intentionality. It’s not enough to merely believe in God’s power; we’re invited to let that belief guide our steps. When the Spirit inspires our actions, our faith becomes a living testimony that reflects God’s character to the world, moving beyond words to impact lives.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal opportunities for you to put your faith into action. Look for ways to serve others, trusting that God will use even the smallest gesture for His glory. Let your life become a demonstration of active faith, showing others the reality of God’s love and kindness.

About this Plan
We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
