We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample

Day 11 of 365
In Job’s cries for relief, he wrestles with his lack of control over his suffering, wondering why he must endure such hardship. In Matthew 8, we see Jesus teaching about the cost of discipleship, asking His followers to set aside their own plans and ambitions to follow Him wholeheartedly.
Surrender is an act of trust, releasing our own will to embrace God’s plans. The Spirit empowers us to relinquish control, reminding us that God’s wisdom far surpasses our own. When we surrender, we make room for the Spirit to work powerfully in our lives, transforming uncertainty into peace—and it’s always worth it.
Today, ask God to help you let go of what you’re trying to control. Invite the Holy Spirit to guide you in surrender, filling you with a peace that comes from trusting God’s greater wisdom and love.
