Church & StudentsSample
As we arrive at the last day of this devotional, we hope that these past 20 days have stirred in you a greater desire for God, but especially for His Church, for students and the mission to see them find hope in Jesus.
We believe what the Lord is doing with Gen Z is intergenerational, it requires us all to be playing our part, so as we conclude in the only right place; around the throne of God. Remembering that every nation, tribe and tongue will come around the throne and worship Him.
I hope this reminder will stay with you. Your prayers and your part in seeing students meet Jesus are more important now than at any other time in history, and we are convinced that just as we stand on answered prayers from generations gone, our prayers today will have a generational impact.
"After this, I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: 'Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.'"
In this stunning vision, John gives us a glimpse of an eternal celebration in heaven. For a moment imagine this; a multitude so vast that it cannot be numbered—representing every nation, tribe, people, and tongue. This is not just a gathering; it is a powerful declaration of God’s heart for diversity and unity.
The scene is filled with vibrant colors and rich cultural expressions. Each group brings its unique heritage, yet all share a common purpose: to worship the Lamb who is seated on the throne and proclaim the salvation that comes from Him. This reminds us that in God’s Kingdom, we are a part of His beautiful and diverse body and that across all our cultures and languages we get to experience a facet of God's nature that is so different and unique.
The prayer of Jesus in John 17 is an echo of heaven’s cry for us to be one, in the same way, The Father, The Son ,and The Spirit are one. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to embrace the diversity within our own communities. In a world often divided by cultural and social barriers, we are invited to be ambassadors of reconciliation, showing that God’s love breaks through all boundaries.
The joy and worship depicted here inspire us to live with a sense of hope. No matter our circumstances, we can look forward to a time when every tear will be wiped away, and we will stand together in perfect harmony before God’s throne.
Question: How do we become ambassadors of reconciliation? How do we carry the Hope of Jesus in a broken world? What does loving your neighbour look like for you?
Prayer:
God, we thank you for the beautiful diversity of Your creation. May I reflect Your love and unity in my community and my sphere of influence, so that the world around us may know the Hope in Jesus through us. Amen

About this Plan
We are in the grip of a slow awakening in the student world as we continue to hear story after story of students coming to know Jesus. This is a story that hasn’t just begun now, it's been unfolding across generations, prayers of those who have sown in tears that God would move powerfully in this nation and the next generation; we are standing on the answered prayers of those faithful intercessors.
