Journey With Jesus 365Sample

Jesus did not mince words regarding the hypocrisy of the scribes and Pharisees. He was very explicit regarding his judgments of them. He urged the people not to follow their example. These were the leaders of the people, but they were far from any real relationship with God. They were leading the people astray with burdensome rules and man-made regulations. They were such blind guides that they did not even recognize God in the flesh, though he stood among them! It’s no wonder that in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said: “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”.
Instead of relying on made-man rules for a sense of spirituality, how can you have an authentic relationship with God in your life?
