In this verse, Jesus explains that the “first shall be last” and the “last shall be first.” This reveals that God’s kingdom operates differently than our world. Those who might seem unimportant by worldly standards are very important to Him, while those who seek to elevate themselves may find themselves humbled in His eyes.
