Fruit of the Spirit: A 14-Day Fast DevotionalSample
Patience is a Fruit of the Spirit that many of us struggle to fully develop, yet it is one of the most profound ways you reflect God's character. Romans 2:4 reminds us of God’s extraordinary patience, saying, "Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you?" This patience is not just about waiting but about extending grace, exercising self-control, and creating space for God to work in us and through us. Moments of impatience, whether with ourselves or others, are opportunities to lean on the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to pause, reflect, and respond with love.
When you practice patience, you mirror the same grace that God extends to us daily. Even in our mistakes, God’s kindness and tolerance lead us back to Him, offering us countless opportunities to grow and transform. By relying on His strength, you can choose to pause and extend the same patience to those around us, allowing His work to flow through our actions. Patience is not a sign of weakness but a powerful declaration of trust in God’s timing and sovereignty.
