Living in Increase (Part 6) - Increase in LeadershipSample
Week 1: Leadership Qualities
Leadership Qualities
This month, we will be learning about leadership. To start, we will talk about what good leadership qualities look like. Throughout the month, we will examine characters in the Bible that demonstrate outstanding leadership and verses that support leadership development. Additionally, there will be occasional quotes and resources from leaders that I follow. While some people are born with more leadership strengths, everyone must work daily to develop their leadership (John Maxwell, The Law of Process). It’s also important to note that anyone can be a leader. You can be a leader in your home, business, church, etc. As Christians, we are called to be set apart.
Hebrews 13:7 says to remember your leaders and imitate their faith. As we grow, we need to seek guidance from mentors. Find someone living the way you want to and do what they do! We can also learn these lessons from characters in the Bible. The Bible is full of examples of both good and bad leadership. Jesus is the ultimate leader to model our lives after. While many of our personal leaders and favorite Bible characters make mistakes, Jesus does not. 2 Timothy 2:15 says to do your best to present yourself as approved. Therefore, be a worker that has no reason to feel ashamed!
