God’s Plans Are Better
Pastor Jordan Ali
In today’s passage, God is speaking to the people of Israel who were in exile. They were worried and afraid, not knowing what would happen next. There have been many seasons in my life when I have felt the same way, not knowing the future and being gripped by fear. God reminded them that He had a plan, not to harm them but to restore them and give them hope. This gave them something to hold on to, and it is the very thing that we can hold on to as well, knowing that no matter the situation or what it looks like, God has a purpose and plan.
We become more focused on our purposes and plans in life, yet we still feel hopeless or broken and uncertain about the future. I have come to find out that there is no greater plan or purpose that I have for my own life that is greater than God’s plan, which is perfect. As believers, we are called to trust His plans and purposes despite what they look like or how we feel about them. Knowing that God is for us and that He has our best interests in mind and will help us in difficulty. God is good even when we, like the Israelites, feel hopeless.
When have there been times when you were in a situation, circumstance, or season in life when you needed to trust in the Lord? How can you trust the Lord more as you find yourself in these seasons?
