A Year in Luke/ActsSample

Luke-Acts were written by Luke, a doctor and Gentile follower of Jesus who was a companion of Paul. Luke might be the only Gentile (non-Jewish) author in the whole Bible! Luke takes his readers through how Jesus is the fulfillment of Israel’s Scriptures in order to go into how Jesus also became the Savior of the world in the book of Acts.
Luke 1 has some parallels between the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus that point to Luke’s aim of showing readers how Jesus is the fulfillment of Scripture. What parallels do you see today?
