God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample
2 Timothy – Day 5
The world, in Paul’s day and ours, doesn’t want God. People want someone who will tell them that what they want and what they are doing is good and right. Unfortunately for all of us, we are sinful humans who naturally gravitate to sin.
Paul encouraged Timothy to stay the course of ministry and gave him a great reason to do so. Even though people wanted to execute Paul for preaching about Jesus, Paul looked ahead to the reward that awaited him. He had represented Jesus on Earth and was ready to spend Eternity with his Lord and Savior.
Does this angry world get you down? Do you want to hide your Jesus so no one gets in your face about your beliefs? Ask the Holy Spirit for the courage and energy to share your faith, and thank Him that you will one day be with Him.
