Philippians Pt. 1Sample
Welcome to Day 2! Yesterday, we explored Paul’s heartfelt message to the Philippians, reminding them (and us) that as Christians, we are citizens of heaven. This identity reshapes how we see ourselves and our purpose, no matter where we live or what we face.
Today, we’ll dive deeper into Paul’s challenge: if we are citizens of heaven, we must act like it. Our priorities, values, and actions should reflect the kingdom of God rather than the fleeting comforts and temptations of the world around us. Paul reminds the Philippians—and us—that while the world may pull us toward its distractions, we are called to live with focus, honour, and joy, building not our own kingdoms, but God’s.
As we reflect on this, consider the courage it takes to stay heavenly minded when life tempts us to step outside the “colony” of faith. Let’s ask ourselves: how can we hold fast to our identity as citizens of heaven, even when it’s difficult?
Thank you for spending time with us to go through Philippians. As you spend time in prayer today, reflect on this question:
What areas of my life are most tempted by the distractions of this world, and how can I refocus on building God’s kingdom instead of my own?
May the Holy Spirit guide your heart and give you strength to stay heavenly minded. We’ll see you tomorrow as we continue our study!
