Bible in 90 Days (B90)Sample

Day 25 • Summary • 1 Kings 11–21
Solomon foolishly allows his heart to be turned away from the LORD by marrying foreign wives. His son, Rehoboam’s ill-advised response to a delegation results in a division along tribal lines into the northern (Israel) and southern (Judah) kingdoms. The first king of Israel, Jeroboam, creates his own counterfeit religious system as a political expedient. Most of the succession of kings in both kingdoms fail to follow the LORD.
