Soaring on Wings of Eagles
After we have gone through the process, we emerge lighter, stronger, and free from the weights that once held us down. The process refines and prepares us to walk in greater freedom and purpose. Like eagles, we can now soar higher with God, equipped with the clarity, confidence, and authority to carry out His will. The trials, tests, and refining moments have strengthened our wings, enabling us to rise above challenges and step into the fullness of our calling. This is the season where we soar—our process has equipped us for ministry and life and made us more effective and fruitful.
In Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV), we are given a promise:
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
The Hebrew word for "renew" is chalaph (חָלַף), which means "to change or to exchange." God exchanges our weaknesses for His strength through the process. The imagery of mounting up with wings like eagles reflects the transformation that occurs as we trust in God's timing. Eagles don’t struggle to fly; they soar on the wind currents, using the pressure to rise higher. Similarly, when surrendered to God, our trials become the very winds that lift us to new heights in His purpose.
The life of Elijah provides a vivid example of soaring after enduring the process. In 1 Kings 19, after a season of despair and feeling overwhelmed, Elijah retreated to a cave. But after encountering God in the "still small voice," Elijah emerged with renewed strength and a fresh mandate. His endurance through the trials didn’t lead him to quit but prepared him to soar higher in his prophetic ministry, even anointing Elisha to continue his legacy. Elijah’s journey illustrates how God strengthens us in the waiting and propels us forward in His purpose.
In the New Testament, 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." The Greek word for "affliction" is thlipsis (θλῖψις), meaning pressure or tribulation. This pressure is temporary, but it produces an eternal weight of glory in us. The process we endure leads to the manifestation of God’s glory in our lives. Just like the eagle rises above the storm, we, too, soar on the glory that comes through endurance.
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that you are now stepping into a season of soaring. The process has prepared you to rise above every obstacle with greater authority and clarity. You will carry God’s purposes with precision, and His glory will be seen in your life. Like an eagle, you will soar higher than ever, free from the weights and burdens of the past. What once held you down will no longer have power over you. The winds of adversity will become the very force that propels you into new realms of fruitfulness and effectiveness in the Kingdom.
