Thanksgiving in Times of NeedSample
Day 3: Thanksgiving Leads to Breakthrough
Psalm 107:8-9 says, “Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Thanksgiving is often the key to breakthrough. When we choose to thank God in the middle of our trials, we open the door for His provision and blessing to flow into our lives.
Gratitude is powerful because it aligns our hearts with God’s will. It shows that we trust Him, even when we don’t have all the answers. Many times in the Bible, we see that thanksgiving precedes a miracle. The feeding of the 5,000 began with Jesus giving thanks for a small offering, which He multiplied to meet the needs of the crowd (Matthew 14:19). When we give thanks, we create space for God to work in miraculous ways.
Today, thank God in advance for the breakthrough you need. Whether it’s financial provision, a new job, or relief from debt, trust that God is working on your behalf. Let thanksgiving be the seed that brings about your breakthrough.
Reflection Questions:
• What financial breakthroughs are you trusting God for?
• How can you practice thanking God in advance for His provision, even before you see it?
• In what ways has God already shown His unfailing love and provision in your life?
