A Stellar Creator
by Shane Skipper
"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands." — Psalm 19:1
"...’I tell you,’ He replied, ‘if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.’” — Luke 19:40
Ready: One night, a father woke his young son and daughter, urging them out of bed for a surprise. With tired eyes, they piled into the truck and drove to a ridge. Stepping out, they found their father gazing at the sky, where waves of green and white light from the Northern Lights danced across a starry sky. In awed silence, the father broke through to say, “Who can say there is no God?” That moment imprinted on the boy’s heart, not only for the beauty of the sky but for the profound recognition of a Creator.
Aim: Psalm 19:1-2, Luke 19:28-40
Fire: Creation itself testifies to our Creator and its wonders can stir even a “non-believer” to acknowledge Him. As believers, we know that God spoke the world into existence and lovingly created us in His image. If the heavens (Psalm 19:1) and stones (Luke 19:40) praise Him, how much more should we? It’s our privilege to offer our best praise and worship to Him, making sure the stones remain silent while we proclaim His glory to the world. Jesus is Lord, and He is truly worthy of all our praise!
Follow-Through: Romans 12:1-2, Psalm 150:1-6
