Love Unleashed: 70 Days of TransformationSample
Week 8: Anticipating His Future Promises - Day 50:
Because we know that God has been faithful, both in the Bible and in our lives, we must look forward with expectation to the promises He made over us and toward us for the future. Anticipating God’s future promises fills our lives with hope and anticipation.
Living in anticipation of God’s promises also shapes how we navigate our present circumstances. Knowing that God’s promises are still at work, even when we can’t see them, strengthens us in trials.
As believers, we are called to live in the present with a forward-looking faith, trusting that what God has spoken will come to pass. We know that Jesus is preparing a place for us in Heaven (John 14) and will return in power (Zechariah 14, Matthew 24, and Revelation 1).
This promise from Christ’s return and our eternal home with Him gives us a perspective that reaches beyond our current struggles and into the glorious future He has prepared.
But between His ascension and eventual return, He gave us a mission to go into the world and preach the good news of His death and resurrection. We are to teach them how to be followers and baptize them into the family, creating more disciples. This creates an urgency in our hearts to reach those who do not currently know Him.
As you anticipate God’s future promises, let this hope guide your thoughts, actions, and prayers. Lean into His Word, where His promises are revealed, and let the certainty of His faithfulness anchor your soul. His promises are not just for the future; they empower us to live fully in the present, with the unshakable assurance that God will use us to bring about His perfect plan in His perfect time for the people around us that He loves.

Think About It: Amid His discipline for their sin, God promised the Israelites restoration and a good future. He has the same promises for us. How does this give you hope for the future?
Pray About It: Ask God about His plans for your future.

About this Plan
Imagine if the next seventy days reframed the course of your life. In Luke 10, Jesus sent out the seventy-two disciples. He instructed them to go into the highways and byways and promised God’s provision. When they returned, they celebrated the amazing things God had done. Over the next seventy days, we want you to actively share the love of Jesus with your community. Each day, you will read a passage, contemplate a question, and be challenged to step out in faith, trusting God to provide. Invite a friend and allow these seventy days to change your life!
