Week 7: Seeking His Presence Daily - Day 43:
God’s presence is an incredible part of the daily life of a Christ follower. Yet, in our busyness, it is easy to overlook His presence. When we intentionally seek Him, we will find Him and live with a deeper awareness of His love and purpose as He gives us comfort, guidance, and strength.
Jesus taught us to seek God’s Kingdom first, and His righteousness and everything else we need will be given to us as well. When we prioritize God’s presence, everything else falls into place. Our worries, fears, and challenges are met with His peace, wisdom, and provision.
Seeking God’s presence must be woven into the fabric of our daily routines. It can be cultivated through the constant awareness that God is with us at work, in our conversations, and amid our joys and struggles. As we draw near Him, we become more attuned to His voice and sensitive to His leading.
Practically speaking, seeking His presence can be done through prayer, meditating on scripture, and pausing throughout the day to invite Him into our lives. It is done when we stop talking to Him and start listening to what He is trying to say.
There is a fullness of joy in God’s presence that surpasses circumstances, filling our hearts with peace. When we seek His presence, we invite Him to be an active part of every experience, acknowledging our need for Him in every aspect of our lives.
This is an intentional choice to focus on Him rather than the distractions that tend to grab our attention. Today, take a moment to seek His presence. Invite Him into your plans, your thoughts, and your heart. You’ll find His presence is not just a momentary experience but a continual, life-giving reality that transforms your life.

Think About It: There is joy in the presence of the Lord. Our only hindrance in receiving this joy is our time in His presence. How often do you spend in His presence?
Pray About It: Seek joy in His presence, and ask Him to help you make this a daily practice.
